How can you apply it?

If you wish to make use of ICT for teaching and learning, you can apply GP2 in the following ways:
  • Scaffold children’s learning based on their existing abilities and prior knowledge
  • Provide opportunities that encourage and support children in constructing their knowledge through play and exploration
  • Give clear instructions that set expectations and appropriate ways of using ICT
  • Be knowledgeable of the functions and capabilities of the ICT tool or resource

Example

In this activity, the children made use of video-recordings to review their movements as they developed the locomotor skill of sliding. The teacher guided the children’s viewing of the video and facilitated their reflection of their sliding experiences.
