Values
Values serve as a compass that helps children in discerning between right and wrong, and shaping their thoughts, speech, and behavior in various settings.The NEL Framework identifies four core values:
These values have been selected as they are relevant to the lived experiences of children and reflect the common values held by Singaporeans. They will also continue to be developed in primary school. However, preschool centres also have the flexibility to incorporate other relevant values, such as patience and kindness, within their specific context.
